These music producers have proven they’re heavyweights in a highly competitive industry

In a highly competitive industry like the music industry, it is difficult to get to the top and remain there. Almost always, music producers are pushed aside by new talents when they get seem to be doing well. Getting to the top requires work and effort, but to remain there you’d need more than just work and effort. You’d need more connections, more vibes, more charisma, and a larger network of friends in the music industry.

The Nigeria musi industry is a tough one, but some music producers have proven they’re sharks and heavyweights and have continued to doll out new hits with big artists.

They are:

1. Fresh VDM

Fresh VDM had a good time in 2017 with his name on many Davido hits, and came into 2018 with a never-say-die spirit to continue his production mastery. He crafted his own distinctive sound called Very Disturbing Music (VDM) – the acronym that forms a second part of his producer name. That’s the attitude of a shark. He produced Davido’s 2017 super hit “FIA”. He went on to produce  Mayorkun’s ‘Yawa‘, ‘Love You Tire’ featuring Mr Eazi, Dremo’s ‘1, 2 Bang’ featuring Davido and ‘Iro Nla.’

He also produced DJ Ecool’sKilode and ‘Cheii ‘– both featuring Dremo. In 2018, he went on to produce hit songs like “Mind” by DMW, “Aje” by DMW, “Bobo” by Mayorkun and Davido, “Nwa Baby” by Davido among others.

Killertunez as the name suggests is a killer of tunes, literally. The heavyweight music producer has got some major hit songs to his name and they include Duncan Mighty Ft. Spellz literally spells it out for you. The heavyweight producer is responsible for almost all of Tiwa Savage’s 2018 productions which include “Ma lo” by Tiwa Savage and Wizkid, “Tiwa’s Vibe”, “Lova Lova” ft Duncan Mighty.

He also produced Wande Coal’s “Iskaba”, DJ Spinall ft. Burna Boy — “Gba Gbe E”, Dammy Krane — “Amin”, Burna Boy — “Don Gorgon”, Waje ft. Tiwa Savage — “Onye” among others.

The direct younger brother to Gospel On The Beatz is the producer of Davido’s hit single “Assurance” and also worked with Fresh VDM on Davido’s new song “Nwa”. Other hit songs produced by Speroach Beatz include “Amaka” by 2Baba and Peruzzi, “Kpa” by Dremo and Davido, among others.

5. PhillKeyz

PhillKeyz is another talented music producer with some major hit singles to his name. He’s currently signed to Kizz Daniel’s Fly Boy Records and has four songs in Kizz Daniel’s soon to be released album “No Bad Songz”. If you vibe to Kizz Daniel’s “No Do” then you should be greatful to him. If you ever danced to “Peteru” by Skuki and Olamide, PhillKeyz should be the one you gve accolades.

Other songs by the producer include “For You” by Kizz Daniel and Wizkid, “Kofi Anan” by Yemi Alade, “Go Down” by Yemi Alade, among others.
