Sanwoolu, a former special adviser to former deputy governor of Lagos Femi Pedro as well as former governor Bola Tinubu, joined the race on Monday.

Sanwoolu has also been a former Commissioner for Establishments and Training, Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, and Commissioner for Budget and Planning at different times.

By Tuesday, Sanwoolu had gotten the signatures of all 57 Lagos LGA/LCDA chairmen.

It is being reported that Sanwoolu is the preferred candidate of Tinubu, who is regarded as “APC National Leader”.

Governor Ambode of Lagos state picked his nomination yesterday

The thing is, incumbent governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, is also in the race, and he obtained the nomination form just yesterday.
