Ronaldo taunts Atletico after painful loss in Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo could not hide his frustration last night after the 2 – 0 loss at the Wanda Metropolitano as he gave a hand gesture illustrating the unique number, FIVE.

Walking down the tunnel after the game he said: “I have five Champions Leagues, you [Atletico] have none.”

Goals from Jose Gimenez and Diego Godin on a night dominated by controversy surrounding the Video Assistant Referee [VAR] gave the home side a hard fought victory.

The 34-year-old won the European Cup with Manchester United in 2008 before scooping it four times with Los Blancos including twice at the expense of city rivals Atletico in the 2014 and 2016 finals.

Ronaldo has a slim chance of winning the competition again this season if Juventus manages to turn around a two goal deficit at Turin in a fortnight
