Football Power house pulls out from co-hosting 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

President Alassane Ouattara have said there is no need for Ivory Coast to co-host the expanded Africa cup of Nations finals in 2021.

He said the problem isn’t infrastructure but the nations cup has now been expanded and it would need lots of preparation to host.

The tournament has also been moved from its traditional dates of January and February to later in the year in the months of June and July.

But there is no offense for expanding the nations cup according to the President as the reason is to increase the teams at the continent’s biennial event is to try to encourage countries in a particular region to co-host future Afcon finals.
