Ex-international, Chikelue Iloenyosi says Zambia couldn’t have qualified ahead of Nigeria.


The Super Eagles got the ticket to Russia 2018 World Cup as they qualified by defeating Zambia at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo yesterday.

The Eagles top Group B with 13 points six ahead of second-placed Zambia and Nigeria have qualified for Russia 2018 with a game to spare.

Former Eagles defender Iloenyosi said he is happy with the current Eagles players cause of thier Commitment towards getting the ticket to the World Cup in Russia.

In his words, he said “I believe the Eagles will do well in Russia next year.

I’m confident because our players are very committed and we have young players who are determined to play at the World Cup because they know that is the best thing that can happen to them as footballers,” the former Turkey-based footballer said.
