Husband and manager to former Hot FM OAP, E-berry, has released a statement on the sack of his client and wife Mrs. Ebere Akalonu.
The Radio producer says E-berry was laid off from HOT FM on Monday, 25th March, 2019 for no specific reason. However she’ll continue to anchor The Launch Hour Show on the station as an independent brand.
She’ll also working on launching her independent shows which will broadcast on various media platforms as well as working on her music career.

Due to recent happenings, post and comments on the social media and calls from concerned individuals, we have deemed it fit to clarify issues as regarding to our client Mrs. Ebere Akalonu, popularly known as E-Berry concerning her employment with Spectrum Broadcasting Company LTD, owners of Hot FM 99.5 Owerri.
On Monday 25th March, 2019 she received a letter terminating her employment. The letter which was dated 22nd March, 2019 however did not state any specific reason or reasons for the termination.
Having put in seven (7) years of her professional life into the company, she still maintains a cordial relationship with them.
She is now working as an independent brand and will still be anchoring the popular game show, The Lunch Hour Show (LHS) every weekday from 12 noon to 1pm on Hot 99.5 FM Owerri as her contract is still running with Rock House Media Network LTD owners of the show. She is also working on launching her own independent shows to be broadcast on various media platforms and the internet and alongside pursue a long overdue career in music. She is very open to do business with interested brands and individuals.
