Arsenal set to play Europa League football next season after disappointing draw.

Arsenal have just one slot of qualifying for the Champions league next season if they can win the Europa league in a situation where the first leg against Valencia was won at the Emirate leaving them one leg into the final.

The North London side were held 1-1 at home by Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League, the result severely denting their top-four hopes and confirming Chelsea’s Champions League return.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had an opportunity from the penalty spot and he took it with full hands, slotting the ball home to give his team the lead but Brighton also scored a penalty of their own after Glenn Murray converted his too.

Tottenham and Arsenal would be expecting to egde each other on the final day of the season but Tottenham looks more likely to go fourth-placed cause Spurs have a three-point cushion and a huge advantage over their north London rivals on goal difference.
