Nigerian President and Governors should stop using bulletproof cars – Orji Uzor Kalu


Former governor of Abia State Orji Uzor Kalu on Tuesday, January 3rd urged President Buhari and Nigeria’s political class to stop the use of bullet proof cars.

This he said during the at the inauguration of a Catholic Church building built by a former Minister of State, FCT Chuka Odom in owerri.

He urged the President and State governors to use the money instead to provide basic amenities like steady power supply and good roads across the country.


He said, “As the governor of Abia State, I never used bulletproof cars. Even up till now ,I am not using bulletproof cars. I made use of buses as a governor and I’m still buses up till now”.

“I don’t believe anybody can kill me except God. Instead of spending huge money on buying bulletproof cars, governors should use the money and provide electricity for their people “.

A former governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim who was present at the inauguration also said that  ,irrespective of political party affiliations all Nigerians should support Buhari to succeed ,suggesting that if the President fails then all Nigerians have failed.

The inauguration took place at Chuka Odom’s community in Ikeduru local government Area of Imo State.
