Serena Williams coach, Patrick Mouratoglou has come out to slam Maria Sharapova over comments made by the Russian after completion of her ban due to drugs taken to enhance fitness.
Patrick was erratic in driving out his point by saying Sharapova should be careful how she speaks in the public especially what she says about anything concerning sports.
“They should vote in a rule someone who comes back from a ban from doping shouldn’t get a wildcard coming back,” Mouratoglou said.
“I don’t think it sends a good message. It’s like I take something away from you because you did something wrong but then I give you a hand.”
Mouratoglou then went a step further, claiming Sharapova would be no chance if Serena was available to play.
“When Maria enters a tournament, the best news possible for her is if Serena is not in the draw,’” Mouratoglou said.
Mouratoglou’s harsh comments came off the back of Sharapova targeting Danish player Caroline Wozniacki.
