Liverpool continues to showcase defensive lapses as Klopp’s men fail to record a win in Russia.

The Merseyside team had a decent game as per possession last night as they dominated throughout Tuesday’s Group E contest at the Otkrytiye Arena, but settled for a second successive point to begin their campaign.

The likes of Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firminho were involved in the game but could not add to the goal tally as Liverpool return home with just a point.

Coutinho grabbed his second goal in as many games, yet only after Fernando’s free-kick had put the home side in front.

But his goal wasn’t an assurance for a victory as the home side frustrated the efforts of klopp’s men for 90 minutes.

Liverpool subsequently spurned numerous good chances to take the spoils, much to the dismay of their boss.
