The Flying Eagles rained goals on a wet pitch against fellow African side, Mauritania as they got a 5-0 win at the Agege Stadium and have now qualified for the 2019 edition of the U-20 Nations Cup in Niger.

Many have already registered their disappointment in the U-20 eagles after the first leg ended 1-1 in Mauritania but the result was overturned to give the team a 6-1 aggregate score.

Nigeria failed to qualify for the last edition of the competition but were not ready to miss out of this edition and thereby lots of logistics were put in place to make it to the Nations Cup this time around.

The Crisis in the glass house have been on for a while between Chris Giwa and Amaju Pinnick and if Nigeria is banned from participating in FIFA competitions, it would affect Nigerian football as a whole.

But there is optimism the Crisis would be resolved and the flying eagles would prepare well and be focused to give a good performance in Niger next year.
