Antonio Conte will eventually leave the bridge after several months of speculation about who would lead the blues going forward next season after two seasons in charge.

There have talks about Maurizio Sarri waiting to take over while the ex-Juventus and Italy coach isn’t ready to resign except he is sacked due to the incentive attached.

Chelsea and Conte have now agreed to part ways with the club and a sum £9 million ($12m) would be given to the Italian to remove him from first-team coaching duties.

Ex-Napoli coach Sarri, meanwhile, could be presented as his replacement as early as Friday, with the Blues squad already informed over the change in management.

While Chelsea’s pursuit of Sarri has been rocky since the end of the season, the club is already working on several transfers requested by the Italian, including a group of targets from Serie A.
